A robocall with a voice disguised as a woman named Becky, supposedly a patient advocate from Medicare, is calling offering free genetic testing for early signs of cancer or heart disease. This September, SMP has received numerous calls from Ohio Medicare beneficiaries reporting varied phone calls received from so-called Medicare representatives.  BEWARE of the following scam calls:
“Hello, this is Medicare calling.  Do you have both Medicare Part A and B?  Would you please provide your Medicare number to confirm?”
“Hello, I am calling to discuss your Medicare wellness visit.  Would you please provide your Medicare number?”

HANG UP! DO NOT SHARE YOUR MEDICARE NUMBER TO ANYONE YOU DO NOT KNOW AND TRUST!

If you have questions regarding your Medicare plan, contact OSHIIP at 800-686-1578.
